Holidays Around the Corner



With Thanksgiving being one week away and the Holidays right around the corner are you ready? The hustle of the Holiday Season seems to flood the airways, the TV commercials and email Inbox’s with just the right tag line to get us thinking are we ready? For me when I think of the Holiday Season I think of cold weather to put on the heater or to start a fire and it doesn't seem that Mother Nature is as ready for the Holiday Weather as the retailers are for us to get out there and start shopping. Lately it’s been one cold day only to be followed by 3 hot days…as if Mother Nature is apologizing to the West Coast for not providing the typical Summer Weather that we are all used to. Whatever it may be I am certain that whatever the weather we are truly lucky to live in some of the best weather conditions out there so come sunny days or cold I will still be ready for the Holiday once they get here...how about you?

Just a thought?


What is more important to you price or quality? Would you pay more for a product or service that you knew was going to last twice as long or are you someone that likes the best price and will take the risk and worry about fixing or replacing it when that time arises?

Brand recognition is so important to so many. Take Ziploc brand for example, growing up that's all I remember was in my household and as I grew older and began recognizing the price differences between generic and brand and had some trial and errors on which ones worked and which ones different I am now a Target brand fan and price is so important. However, on the flip side when it comes to big purchases like cars, and household appliances I would rather pay a little bit more to make sure that it will last and I won't have to encounter the headaches of a warranty expiring and the product breaking down.

Today is going to be a GREAT Day!


I recently attended a seminar and when I walked into the room I was filled with positive energy and excitement! My first thought was WOW this group had their morning Wheaties and their coffee!

As the networking wound down and the presentation began it was clear that the rooms energy was not simply an accident nor an overdose of caffeine, it was the type of people that filled the room; they were the ones that were determined to, "Have a GREAT day" and it was contagious.

Today when we turn on the news we are flooded with growing new problems about our suffering economy, unemployment rates rising, foreclosures hit the highest since last year and the list goes on. Of course this is what is going on and what we are surround by day in and day out but what if we decided that despite what is going on we were going to "Have a GREAT day" could we change the way we look at things? Could we positively effect someones else's day or turn the team we manage into a sales force that is excited to bring in new sales despite what the media and front pages of newspaper say every day?

I was talking to a professional the other day who said he feels that the ups and downs that we are facing is bringing business back to the basis and that is customer service something I spoke about a few days ago and it is 110% true! We are still human we still need to be inspired and encouraged and motivated no matter what state the economy is in and that is what separates the great from the average those that wake up every day and despite what the "world" is telling them determines that "Today is going to be a GREAT day" and so I leave you with this...is today going to be a GREAT day? Customer Service


What creates a lasting positive effect on customers? There are many factors that attribute to the overall experience a customer has with a business however from a consumers point of view I'd have to say that customer service and follow up are the two key ingredients that make the perfect customer experience. I heard recently at a Business Seminar I attended that it takes 10 good experiences to make up for one bad experience. Why is it then that companies can't seem to nail down their customer service? Lack of training, funds, willingness? You tell me...I'm still trying to figure it out myself.

When CCM was established Customer Service was one of the core principals that we knew we needed to create our business structure on. In industries that are saturated with slogans that claim, "we are the best" what really determines that? A company can say, "they are the best" all day long but if the customers are not backing them then they fall victim to an over exaggerated slogan. So I leave you with this...what makes your experience with a company stand out?

It's HOT! What's going on with California's Weather?

It wasn't more than two weeks ago that if you are a fan of CCM's facebook you would have seen postings in the middle of summer advertising our services for Furnaces instead of Air Conditioning Systems. As most know our business is seasonal, bring on summer with the A/C and winter with the heaters but not this year with mid highs reaching 65 degrees it was a little bit chilly out, well...for the Native Californian that is. Which makes me wonder where did our predictable Southern California weather disappear to? Is Mother Nature playing a practical joke on us?From the looks of yesterday with temperatures soaring into the triple digits reaching the mid 90's by 10AM only to be meet with thunderstorms, rain and lighting at 5PM are we creating a new climate? According to Tina Stall forecaster from the National Weather Service “There’s a push of monsoonal moisture from the southeast, there’s a good chance it could hold together and possibly even get to the coast. There’s definitely a chance of rain with these.
